XMILE 1.0 Draft now available for comment

Post by Karim Chichakly » Wed Jul 16, 2014 12:04 pm

Hi everyone,

The XMILE Technical Committee has internally approved a new draft for the XMILE file format for interchange of System Dynamics models (more information available at http://xmile.systemdynamics.org). We are looking for feedback from the SD community. This draft is close to what we consider what will be released for public review. The largest remaining issue has to do with which objects be included in Chapter 6. The XSD is also lagging somewhat behind the written spec, so bear that in mind.

Several members of the Technical Committee will be available in Delft to talk about the spec, including myself, Bob Eberlein, Jim Duggan, and Len Malczynski. Please feel free to ask us any questions. We will also be passing out ballots to solicit feedback.

There is an XMILE roundtable on Wednesday morning at 10:30 in Aula Room B to discuss the standard, answer questions, and share different points of view. Everyone's welcome. The XMILE Technical Committee is also meeting at the conference, on Tuesday at 3 pm in Aula Commissikamer1. Please come if you wish to join the committee. We are always welcoming new members.

The new draft is available here: https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/d ... brev=xmile
Supporting documents, including the XSD and example models, are available here: https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/d ... brev=xmile

Written feedback should be sent directly to the committee at xmile-comment@lists.oasis-open.org.

Thank you for participating in this process!
