Welcome to WikiSD, the System Dynamics Society Wiki.

While there are somewhat varying elevator pitch definitions of System Dynamics the short of it is that System Dynamics is a rigorous discipline of modeling and simulation employed to develop the structural foundation and understanding of a current situation, and then use that understanding to develop policy which will improve the situation. Even more shortly put, System Dynamics is a disciplined approach to understanding and solving dynamically complex problems.

The intent is for WikiSD to provide content which is interesting and informative to individuals seeking to understand Systems Thinking and Systems Dynamics, individuals familiar with these subjects wishing to understand at a deeper level, and individuals seeking to advance the state of the discipline. Yes, it's a tall order. Additionally you should expect to find backgrounds on individuals working in these areas, articles recently published, information about tools employed within the discipline, as well as models completed and under development.
