Shipping Policy
The System Dynamics Society, an international organization based in the United States, sells books, games, and other materials that promote systems thinking and/or System Dynamics through our online store. Our shipping operations are bound by the policies of local shipping partners like USPS and UPS and also our international shipping partner, DHL. We do comply with federal, state, and local laws concerning taxes, import duties, and other legal requirements for shipment.
All orders are processed within 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped via our shipping partner, Shippo.

Amazon Delivery
Generally, books are shipped internationally via Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA), as well as books shipped domestically within the United States.
International Shipping
We offer international shipping only via DHL (when available) with an estimated delivery time which varies between 3 and 8 business days depending on your location. At this time, we only ship to countries where DHL is present.
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. The System Dynamics Society is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
Print on Demand
Through our partner IngramSpark, we have the option of Print on Demand for the Billibonk series of books. Domestically, the estimated time frame for printing and delivery is 2 to 10 business days. Internationally, expect from 10 to 30 business days, depending on shipping location and print quantity.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us through our shipping partner Shippo, which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at office@systemdynamics.org with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
Shipping to P.O. boxes
DHL and UPS cannot ship to P.O. boxes. Only USPS can ship to P.O boxes (US only).
Refunds, returns, and exchanges
We accept returns up to 15 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount, minus the shipping costs for the return.
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at office@systemdynamics.org with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis, and we will try our best to reach a satisfactory solution.
