Sustainable Business Systems and Academia-Industry Collaboration

This event will be presented in Chinese.

The Taiwan Chapter of the System Dynamics Society presents a seminar series on System Dynamics and Applications on Sustainable System Development.  We aim to bring more Chinese speaking SD educators and practitioners together with this seminar series and share more recent developments from Taiwan Chapter.

Abstract

This session presents real world case studies on System Dynamics Applications and Sustainable System Development.  We introduce academia-industry collaboration cases with three major industries, namely, the cosmetics and hairdressing industry, the health services industry, and the yacht manufacturing industry, so as to explore the development model of industry-academic partnerships between colleges and firms, examine the utilization of innovative technologies of intelligent commerce, and verify the three dynamic development processes formed by the innovation ecosystem: technological innovation, market development, and business model innovation. The cases are examined through computer simulation to analyze the supporting system for technologies and strategic decisions, in an effort to understand the most suitable industry-academic partnership models and ways of utilizing technologies of intelligent commerce for firms. Moreover, market responses are identified through different degrees of customer perception to ascertain strategies to boost the development of influencing factors of the innovation ecosystem in a positive circuit, thereby improving the benefits of industry-academic partnerships.

In response to green innovation and sustainable business model, the industry practitioner’s case presentation includes the green business model innovation in paper industry.  Casual loop analysis as well as sustainable business ecosystem will be introduced with real business cases and empirical studies.

本次講座分享兩個SD的實務應用案例經驗，首先是分享探討大學跟企業產學合作發展模式，以美妝美髮產業、健康服務產業及遊艇製造產業三大產業中的實際案例，運用智慧商務創新技術和系統動態學電腦模型，驗證創新生態系統所建構技術創新、市場開發和商業模式創新三種動態發展過程。個案透過電腦模擬分析技術與策略決策支援系統為企業分析不同階段最適的產學合作模式及智慧商務創新技術運用方式，藉由不同程度的顧客認知來識別市場回應，找出強化創新生態系統中影響因素發展正向環路之策略以提升產學合作效益，以達到產業技術全面升級。

第二個案例是科技部所支持的產學研究計畫，關於紙張產業在全球市場上的變革發展以及綠色價值鏈創新生態系統，運用系統思考與商業模式分析結合經驗數據進行實務應用研究，並探索發掘綠色創新商業模式之契機與永續經營方針。
