We will be having our next Health Policy SIG meeting on Thursday, April 4th at 11:00 AM EDT on zoom.
This month, Wade McDonald will be presenting on Four Compelling SD-ABM Hybrid Modeling Patterns in AnyLogic
Abstract: AnyLogic is a Java-based simulation modeling tool that supports System Dynamics, Agent-Based Modeling, and Discrete Event Simulation, as well as hybrid models combining two or more of those methodologies. Some pros and cons of AnyLogic will be discussed, followed by an examination of four example hybrid models combining System Dynamics and Agent-Based Modeling methodologies.
About the Presenter: Wade McDonald is a PhD student in the Computational Epidemiology and Public Health Informatics Lab (CEPHIL) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Wade has been building simulation models employing multiple methods using AnyLogic since 2015.
