In this Collective Learning Meeting (CLM), WPI System Dynamics will host Moo-Hyuk Lee (mooohyuk@gmail.com) who will present
Short Description: We are working on the causal loop diagram to explain the mechanism of patient outmigration in South Korea. Outmigration is defined as patients bypassing the local hospitals and traveling further to Seoul (the capital city of South Korea) to receive treatment. We have already presented the basic model in the Student-Organized Colloquium (SOC) 2023.
Question(s) for the Audience: I would like to get feedback on (i) the causal loop diagram itself, and (ii) what to do next. I’m almost new to this field.
Biography: I’m beginning my master’s in Health Policy and Management starting this September. I studied medicine for the bachelor’s (South Korean medical schools are undergraduate courses, unlike the US). I’m interested in complex systems and have some experiences in agent-based modeling, although I’m quite new to system dynamics. I fortunately had the opportunity to present my ongoing work at the Student-Organized Colloquium of the ISDC 2023.
