Hackathon
Two exciting and intense days of collaboration and competition
Get ready for two exciting and intense days of collaboration and competition as teams come together for the hybrid PwC Mark Paich Hackathon 2023. Starting on Friday, July 21 before the start of the ISDC2023, teams will compete to solve complex problems using System Dynamics and data science,
Summer School
Your System Dynamics learning journey starts here
Held online two weeks before the conference, it provides a unique opportunity to learn or review concepts. Seasoned instructors provide in-depth knowledge in this intensive course covering key aspects of System Dynamics simulation modeling. Introductory and intermediate tracks are available to suit different learning levels.
Career Fair
Level-up your career. Meet the best organizations in the field
A great opportunity to get in touch with organizations applying System Dynamics. Meet with hiring managers, learn about open positions, and share your resumé. Last year, we had the presence of Harvard University, Climate Interactive, Radboud University, Sandia National Laboratories, and others.
Book Signing and Book Swap
Bring your Systems Dynamics books to sell and trade with your peers.
Several authors will present their books to the public, and sign, and sell their books in a live activity during the 2023 conference. This initiative aims to spread the field of System Dynamics and make books more accessible to the attendees, as well as reduce shipping costs and decrease our carbon footprint by selling/purchasing in person. If you are an author and would like to participate in the Book Signing event, please fill out this form. All participants and authors will need to be registered for ISDC to participate.
Book Swap: bring your used (or new) System Dynamics and systems thinking books to buy, sell, and trade with your peers.

Student-Organized Colloquium
Organized by students, open to all
A one-day FREE event organized by the Student Chapter of the System Dynamics Society held on the first day of the Conference. It promotes dialogue among system dynamicists of varying fields, levels of training, and backgrounds and creates spaces to have meaningful conversations about the topics that we all care about so that everyone can share and receive feedback to improve their work.
Modeling Assistance Workshop
Get help with your model
Participants of all modeling backgrounds, from beginners to advanced, are welcome to ask questions related to problem articulation, dynamic hypothesis, model formulation, model testing, or policy design and evaluation.
